7:00 am In the early morning of this summer day the Company of the Severed Head lift their heavy packs and start off on the journey through the Dagger Hills, northwest toward Daggerdale. They travel on the rough trail sometimes called The Cut. Although it speeds travel time, it also can be more dangerous because of the greater prospect of travellers to loot attracts both bandit and monster who wait impatiently for prey.
Shandar could not give the company a map directly to the staff they sought, but he did previde a more detailed map of Daggerdale.
The trek is uneventful. At highsun they stop for a meal, enjoying the rugged natural beauty of the terrain. After the repast, they continue on until dark.
6:00 pm
The travellers set up camp just off the trail, and spend a peaceful night under the stars.
